Upper Valley United Way proudly funds the following Community Organizations.

10 Bricks (A program of Tri-County CAP)
Provides an emergency housing and extended stay program for homeless adults without dependent children.  Offers Rental 101, teaching skills that will help overcome some of the biggest barriers to achieving successful long term housing.

ACORN
ACORN provides a full range of support services to people living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.  We empower people to reduce their risk of contracting or spreading HIV and Hep C by offering prevention information throughout our region.

Child & Family Services
Counseling services to help children, adolescents and families find solutions to problems, learn skills to increase effectiveness and enjoyment in parenting, and improve family relationships.

Child Care Center in Norwich - 802.649.1403
Provides full-time and part-time care to children age six weeks to six years. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Child Care Project - 603.646.3233
Training and support services to child care providers, and child care referral for families dependent on child care to maintain or gain employment or training.

Children's Center of the Upper Valley - 603.448.1615
Developmentally based curriculum for toddler, preschool and Kindergarten children with full, 1/2 or 3/4 day option.

Circle Program
Two-year program includes a two-week summer residential camp and a school year mentoring program.  Girls learn to develop skills in communication, problem solving and leadership

COVER Home Repair & the ReCOVER Store
Brings together volunteers and salvaged building materials to work with qualifying Upper Valley residents to address their urgent home repair needs.

The Family Place
Parent-child center offering programs for families with young children addressing parenting and healthy family development -- including home visiting, play groups and parenting classes.

Girl Scouts - Swift Water Council
Serves girls five through 17 with programs and activities to help deepen self-awareness, to contribute to society, relate to others, and develop strong values.

Good Beginnings of the Upper Valley
Home visiting program provides trained volunteers to support and assist anyone who may be expecting or have a newborn.

Grafton County Senior Citizens Council
Provides community-based services to assist elderly and disabled adults to remain independent in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.

Green Mountain Children's Center - 802.296.2296
Provides quality, early childhood programs for children ages six weeks through age 11.

Hannah House
Provides outreach, vocational and day care services to pregnant and parenting youth, teaching self-sufficiency, healthy parenting choices, and promoting violence-free families.

Headrest
24-Hour crisis intervention and information and referral hotline certified by the American Association of suicidology.  Also provides substance abuse treatment and counseling.

LISTEN
Helping ensure Upper Valley residents have the resources to become independent through self-help programs including food, fuel, housing and crisis counseling.

Magic Mountain Children's Center - 802-763-7908  
Provides quality childcare and early education to children ages 2 through 6 with  full and part-time care.

Mayhew Program
Character-building program for boys from single-parent, low-income families.  Rigorous camping experience with year-round follow-up for six years.

NH Legal Assistance
Statewide, non-profit law firm for low-income people which provides advice and representation in a wide range of civil cases for income-eligible clients.

NH Pro Bono
Links low-income families in need of legal services with volunteer attorneys providing free representation in matters of critical importance to their lives.

Pathways of the River Valley (formerly UDS) - 603.448.2077
Area agency for NH Community Developmental Services System providing individualized, community-based services to individuals with developmental and other disabilities and their families.

Second Wind (formerly U.V. Substance Abuse Foundation)
Provides The Turning Point Club, a drop-in center for recovering alcoholics and addicts in addition to alcohol education programs to schools and other Upper Valley organizations.

Second Growth
Programs for preventing destructive behaviors while promoting the life-enhancing skills of children, families, schools, and communities.

Special Needs Support Center of the Upper Valley
Provides information, resources, parent workshops and networking to parents of special needs children. Includes Kids on the Block, Partners in Health and respite child-care program.

Upper Valley Haven
Provides emergency shelter for families, a food shelf, clothing room, and educational programming to those struggling to meet their basic needs. All Haven services are provided free of charge to those with a demonstrated need.

Vermont Children's Aid Society
Child and family counseling, lifetime services for adoptive families, pregnancy counseling, birthparent support services, and parent support.

Visiting Nurse Assoc. & Hospice of VT&NH
Provides skilled health services to people of all ages in their homes through four branch offices serving 86 communities in both Vermont and New Hampshire.

West Central Behavioral Health
Provides substance-abuse, psychiatric, psychological and case management services to residents of the Upper Valley.

White River Council on Aging
Offers congregate and home-delivered meals, transportation, educational and recreational activities, social services advocacy, health clinics, and information and referral to persons 60+ and their families.

Willing Hands
Recovers and delivers free, fresh fruits, vegetables and bakery goods to homeless shelters, substance abuse programs, and mental health programs for distribution to people who otherwise might not be able to afford them.

Valley Court Diversion Programs
Offering court diversion services, Teen Alcohol Safety Program and offender intervention services.

WISE
Crisis counselors, court advocacy, police and hospital accompaniment 24/7 for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault; school programs and community education.
